Year-Round Swim Lessons
Build confidence and skills all year long! Our monthly swim lesson program runs from September through June, allowing families the flexibility to enroll month-to-month while maintaining consistent progress. During the summer, July and August are offered as separate sessions, giving swimmers the opportunity to continue learning or fit lessons around summer schedules.
Make-Up Policy
It is important for your child to attend their scheduled class. Consistency within the classes provides the best possible learning environment for your child. Make-ups are NOT guaranteed & must be requested 24 hours before the missed class. Please email our aquatics coordinator: mmenard@holyokeymca.org

Greater Holyoke YMCA Viking Swim Team
The Greater Holyoke YMCA Viking Swim Team (HYV) helps swimmers of all ages and abilities reach their full potential, both in and out of the pool. Grounded in the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, HYV offers a supportive, family-focused environment for swimmers and parents alike. Our goals are simple: motivate every swimmer to reach their highest level of competition, build self-awareness and respect for others, and foster team unity through hard work.
HYV has a proud tradition of excellence, with over 20 Western Mass YMCA League Titles and a 3rd place finish at the 2011 YMCA Long Course Nationals. HYV competes in USA Swimming Meets and YMCA Swimming Meets. The program runs year-round, with a Fall/Winter season from September through March and a Spring/Summer season from April through July. Swimmers progress at their own pace, moving into more challenging training and higher-level competition over time.
Building Confidence, One Stroke at a Time.
At Greater Holyoke YMCA, our nationally certified swim instructors teach more than technique — they give youth, teens, and adults the life skills and water safety knowledge that last a lifetime.
